1) Realme 5i

Realme 5i

Like Xiaomi, Realme is another Chinese smartphone manufacturer that has gained vast popularity in the Indian market. Both companies are well known for releasing affordable smartphones at frequent intervals throughout the year. Let us check out the company’s latest smartphone, that was released earlier this year.

Design and Build Quality – If you liked the design of Realme 5 and Realme 5s, you are going to like Realme 5i’s design as well. Why? Because these three phones have the exact same design. This phone not only great, but it also has the hardware to back it up.

This cannot be considered as one of the slimmest phones in the market, but by no means is it heavy. The Realme 5i measures 8.95mm in thickness, and it weighs 195gms. It has a mini waterdrop notch, which gives you more screen real estate.

Its fingerprint sensor is located on the back of the phone. The Realme 5i is also fairly durable, thanks to its Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone has two Nano-SIM slots and a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack is available at bottom of the smartphone.

Processor and RAM – Just like its siblings Realme 5 and Realme 5s, the Realme 5i also features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. The phone also offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.

The phone’s memory is lesser than what some of its competitors in the same price range are offering. However, you can expand its storage by up to 256GB using the dedicated microSD card slot.

The Realme 5i runs on Android 9 Pie with Realme’s custom Color OS 6 on top. Even though the phone only has 4GB of RAM, it is very well-optimized. Hence, it was able to multitask efficiently without having to kill any apps in the background. Even its fingerprint scanner and face unlock feature are extremely fast.

Display – The Realme 5i has a sharp 6.52-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1600×720. It is an IPS panel, and it gets sufficiently bright, but its color reproduction is not very good. It is not a 1080p panel, but it still looks great, and at this price point in 2020, this is as good as your display can get.

Camera – The Realme 5i rocks a highly capable quad camera setup. It has a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel wide-angle-camera with an f/2.25 aperture, 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro camera f/2.4 aperture.

Realme 5i takes well-lit images with an excellent dynamic range. All the photos taken during the day are detailed and sharp. The ultra-wide camera does not offer the same detail, but it provides a wider field of view.

The macro camera produced sharp and detailed images, but the portrait shots were a little hazy. The low light camera performance was not up to the mark. The photos were grainy, and the edges were not appropriately metered. The phone also has an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture that has fairly good image quality.

Battery Life – The Realme 5i has a massive 5000mAh battery. When playing HD videos on a loop, the phone offered an incredible 22 hours of battery life. With this phone, you can easily get through two full days in a single charge. Fast charging is not supported, and it takes about 2 hours to get a full charge.

Key Features

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chipset
  • 12MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP rear camera | 8MP front facing camera
  • 4GB RAM | 64GB Internal Storage
  • 5000mAh Battery
  • Android 9 Pie Based OS
  • Bluetooth 5.0

Verdict – The Realme 5i is built well, has a decent display, outstanding battery life, and a fast processor. No other phone in this price category will give you this much value for money. The Realme 5i is the best Realme phone under 10000.

Pros

  • Outstanding Battery Life
  • Fast Processor
  • Great Image Quality
  • Suitable for Gaming

 Cons

  • Average Display
  • Poor Low Light Performance

2) Realme 5

Realme 5

Realme’s aggressively priced smartphones are responsible for starting a budget smartphone war between itself and brands such as Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo. Let us have a look at the Realme 5, which one again, disrupted the budget smartphone market.

Build Quality and Design – When comparing its design to last year’s Realme 3, we observed that there were some interesting changes, but overall, not much has changed. The phone is taller than its predecessor and has a larger display, but it still uses the polycarbonate body with a laminated plastic back.

The phone’s most distinguishing design element is the crystalline pattern on its back. It looks stunning, and it will also help you pick out your phone from ocean phones that all look the same.

The phone has a really large display, and it is quite heavy too, which makes it uncomfortable to use with one hand. The buttons on the phone are tactile, and the sim tray is well placed, but unfortunately, the phone charges with Micro-USB, and not USB Type C.

Processor and RAM – The Realme 5 features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 chipset, which uses the Adreno 610 GPU. The phone is available in three variants, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, the top-end variant with 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage. Its storage can be expanded up to 256GB via its microSD slot.

Considering the price of all three variants, the specifications offered in the Realme 5 are incredible value for money. The Realme 5 ships with Color OS 6.0.1, which runs on top of Android 9 Pie.

The processor of this phone is quite capable, and you will be able to play heavy 3D games at medium graphics without much stutter or lag. Under heavy load, the phone can get quite warm, but it never gets hot.

Display – The Realme 5 has a large 6.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Its notch is quite small, and it has slim bezels. It is also quite durable, thanks to its Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This display is great for media consumption, and it also gets sufficiently bright.

Camera – This phone is not only the first Realme mobile under 10000 with a quad-camera, but it is the first phone ever to have a quad-camera setup with a price tag of less than 10000.

The phone has a 12-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 119-degree field of view. It also has a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera for close up shots. The phone also has a 13-megapixel front camera.

If you give it enough light, the primary sensor captures magnificent landscapes. But the shadows have some noise and the colors can be very inconsistent. Sometimes, the images are too pale, and other times, it is too oversaturated.

The portrait and the macro shots taken on the Realme 5 are absolutely stunning. It takes sharp, detailed, and natural-looking photos. Its excellent portrait mode is the best thing about this camera. The front camera of the phone is not bad; there is nothing special about it either.

Battery Life – Like the other phones in the Realme’s 5 series, this phone also has a massive 5000mAh battery. In our test, we played HD videos on a loop, and the phone’s battery lasted for 22 hours and 30 minutes. This phone can easily get you through two days in a single charge.

Key Features

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chipset
  • 12MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP rear camera | 13MP front facing camera
  • 4GB RAM | 128 GB Internal Storage
  • 5000mAh Battery
  • Android 9 Pie Based OS
  • Bluetooth 5.0

Verdict – The Realme 5 is one of the best budget Realme phone under 10000. It has a good build, amazing specifications, a great camera, and outstanding battery life. We highly recommend this purchase.

Pros

  • Good Build Quality
  • Outstanding Battery Life
  • Excellent Portrait Mode
  • Fast Processor

 Cons

  • Poor Low Light Performance
  • Heavy
  • No Fast Charging

3) Realme Narzo 10A

realme Narzo 10A

The Narzo 10A is the latest offering from the brand. This phone has been getting a lot of attention recently. Not just because of its affordable price tag, but also because of its new OS. Let us dive deeper and understand what this phone really has to offer.

Build Quality and Design – Like all of Realme’s phones, the Narzo 10A is a sleek and good looking phone, but there is one major difference when compared to Realme’s other phones. The brand usually has gradients or patterns on the back of its phones, but this phone has an enormous Realme logo across the length of the device.

The phone is tall and narrow, giving you a firm grip when you hold it in one hand. It has a waterdrop notch and the phone ships with a pre-applied screen protector. The phone charges via micro USB instead of the latest USB Type C. Its 3.5mm audio jack is next to the charging port, and the phone also has two Nano Sim slots and one microSD card slot.

The logo on the back of the phone is very large, yet it is very subtle. Nevertheless, it is visible, and we feel that the phone would have looked better with the giant Realme logo covering almost 50% of the phone.

Processor and RAM – The Realme Narzo 10A features the MediaTek Helio G70 processor, and the company claims that this phone offers the ultimate gaming experience. There is only one available configuration of this phone, which is a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant.

The phone’s OS is Realme UI 1.0, and it is based on Android 9, and it runs smoothly for most day to day tasks, but we noticed minor lag when switching between apps. But at this price tag, its multitasking is quite good.

Gaming is where this phone shines in comparison to its competitors. It can run PUBG at high graphics without any issue. Even the fingerprint sensor and the face unlock are very quick and responsive.

Display – It has a 6.5-inch HD 720×1600-pixel screen with a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. The overall quality of the display is good, but not great. But at this price point, you will not be able to get much more than this.

Camera – The Realme Narzo 10A has a triple camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8. It also has a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The primary camera can deliver decent performance during the day when capturing landscapes. However, the images lack detail and sharpness. Even the colors seemed dull.

Though exposures were handled well, the image processing system sometimes messed up highlights and shadows. The macro shots and portrait photos are also just average, but they are acceptable.

The low light performance of this camera is terrible. It fails to even focus properly. Even the video quality of this camera is barely passable. The 5-megapixel front camera takes decent selfies.

Battery – The 5000mAh battery of the Realme Narzo 10A delivered an extraordinary 26 hours and 20 minutes of use in a single charge when playing HD videos in a loop. However, it does not support fast charging. But with such incredible battery life, you could easily go more than two days without charging your phone.

Key Features

  • Mediatek Helio G70 Chipset
  • 12MP 2MP + 2MP rear camera | 5MPfront facing camera
  • 3GB RAM | 32 GB Internal Storage
  • 5000mAh Battery
  • RealmeUI – Android 10 Based OS
  • Bluetooth 5.0

Verdict – At such an affordable price, the Realme Narzo 10A is offering all the major features, good build quality, extraordinary battery life. But the part of the phone is the Realme UI, which looks quite similar to stock android. It is one of the best Realme smartphone under 10000.

Pros

  • Great Performance
  • Excellent for Gaming
  • Outstanding Battery Life

 Cons

  • Poor Camera Performance
  • Awful Back Design

4) Realme C3

realme C3

After launching several successful and affordable phones in 2019, Realme’s latest budget offering is the Realme C3. The C series is the brand’s entry-level line-up.

The C series has gained a lot of popularity in recent years because of its good hardware and affordable prices. Let us see what the latest entry of the line-up, the Realme C3, has to bring to the table.

Build Quality and Design – The Realme C3’s design aesthetic is quite similar to the Reame 5i’s design. It comes in two catchy colors, Blazing Red and Frozen Blue. It also has a textured back that you can feel when you run your fingers over it.

The frame of the phone is plastic, but it is built well. On the bottom of the phone, it has a loudspeaker grill, 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB port. It also has a metallic ring around the camera module to prevent it from getting scratched. The phone weighs 195gm, so it is quite heavy.

Processor and RAM – The phone features the MediaTek Helio G70 chipset and comes in two variants, a 3GB RAM with 32GB storage configuration, and a 4GB with 64GB RAM variant.

The phone runs on Realme UI 1.0, which is based on Android 10. In our use, we did not experience any lag or stutter. The 4GB variant is also able to multitask efficiently without killing any apps in the background.

When playing heavy 3D games like PUBG with High graphics, gameplay stutters occasionally, but if you reduce the graphics settings, it should work just fine.

Display – It has a 6.5-inch HD 720×1600-pixel screen with a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. The overall quality of the display is quite good for its price. The bezels on the side of the phone are thin, but the bezels on the bottom are relatively thicker.

Camera – Unlike the 5i’s quad-camera setup, the Realme C3 only has two cameras. It has a 12-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera.

When clicking photos in an environment that has adequate lighting, the primary camera is quick to focus and produces detailed images that are better than most cameras in this price range.

However, the camera struggles to focus on a close-range subject. Portrait mode has good edge detection. But low light photographs lack detail and sharpness. The camera also does not have a native night mode.

Battery Life – The massive 5000mAh battery of the Realme C3 delivered an exceptional 28 hours and 20 minutes of use in a single charge when playing HD videos in a loop. However, it does not support fast charging.

But with such incredible battery life, you could easily go more than two days without charging your phone. The 10W charger that comes with the phone takes about 2 hours to charge the phone completely.

Key Features

  • Mediatek Helio 670 Chipset
  • 12MP + 2MP rear camera | 5MPfront facing camera
  • 4GB RAM | 64 GB Internal Storage
  • 5000mAh Battery
  • RealmeUI – Android 10 Based OS
  • Bluetooth 5.0

Verdict – The Realme C3 is an amazing upgrade to the Realme C2; it has incredible battery life, a sturdy build, and great hardware. It is one of the best Realme phone under 10000, and you definitely consider buying it.

Pros

  • Fast Performance
  • Decent Camera
  • Outstanding Battery Life
  • Clean UI

 Cons

  • Poor Low Light Photography
  • Average Display

5) Realme 3

realme 3

This phone is the successor to the Realme 2, and the Indian audience seems to love this phone. It is priced similarly to the Realme 2, but this phone has received a significant CPU boost. Let us see how it stacks up against the competition.

Build Quality and Design – The most significant change in the Realme 3 in terms of design is the replacement of the big notch with the waterdrop notch. The phone now has a unibody design that curves all the way from the front to the back.

At 175gm, the phone is not too heavy, but measuring 8.3mm thick, it is also not particularly slim. You can easily get a good grip on this phone, but you will get fingerprint marks all over the front and back of the phone.

The phone has two Nano-SIM slots and a microSD card slot. At the bottom, there’s a 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB port, and a loudspeaker grill. The Realme logo on the back is vertically aligned at the bottom.

Processor and RAM – The phone features the MediaTek Helio P70 chipset and comes in two variants, a 3GB RAM with 32GB storage configuration, and a 4GB with 64GB RAM variant. This a significant upgrade from Realme 2.

The phone runs on Color OS 6.0, which is based on Android 9 Pie. The OS has a clean, minimalistic look, and it runs quite smoothly. The CPU and GPU performance of this phone has higher benchmarks than most of its competitors in this price range.

If you try to play heavy games on this phone, it will stutter a bit, but it should work smoothly at medium graphics. Even the heat management on this phone is well optimized.

Display – The phone has a large 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) display, which also has Gorilla Glass protection. However, the Realme does not mention the version of Gorilla Glass. The side bezels are really thin, but the bottom chin is noticeably thicker than other Realme phones.

Camera – The Realme 3 has the same dual 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual-camera setup as the Realme 2, but the primary sensor has been improved in quality and its aperture now is f/1.8. It also has a 13-megapixel front camera.

The photos from the primary sensor are usually well-detailed and sharp, but sometimes, complex textures can be a little muddled. Low light photography is where Realme has always struggled, but the Realme 3 changes that.

Realme has finally added Nightscape mode that uses AI and multi-frame exposures to give you a brighter image even in low light conditions. The portrait mode’s edge detection is fairly good, and the front camera also captures great selfies in good lighting but struggles in low light.

Battery Life – The Realme 3 has a 4320mAh battery that lasted for 10 hours when continuously playing HD videos in a loop. This number is quite poor when compared to some of Realme’s other phones. It does not support fast charging, and the 10W charger that comes in the box can charge it up to 50 percent in an hour.

Key Features

  • Mediatek Helio P70 Chipset
  • 13MP + 2MP rear camera | 13MP front-facing camera
  • 4GB RAM | 64 GB Internal Storage
  • 4320mAh Battery
  • Color OS 6I – Android 9 Pie Based OS
  • Bluetooth 4.2

Verdict – The Realme 3 offers as a significant upgrade over the Realme 2. The phone performs incredibly well and has a decent camera as well. It is one of the best Realme phone under 10000, and it should definitely be on your list.

Pros

  • Fast Processor
  • Clean UI
  • Sturdy Build

Cons

  • Average Cameras
  • Fingerprint Smudges are Visible
  • Mediocre Display.

This concludes LogicalShout’s list of the best Realme phone under 10000 in India. A lot of research and trials were conducted before making this list. Therefore, all three phones on this list are the latest and the greatest Mi phones that you can buy today.
