Best Tablets Under Rs.5000 in India

Are you looking for the best tablet under 5000? You are on the best place of the web; here, you will get a comprehensive list for best WiFi and 4G enabled tabs, although there are very few good tabs available in this budget.

Best Tablets Under 5000

Today you get a more powerful smartphone than a tablet under Rs.5000, but you can’t get a big display in this budget’s smartphones, and that’s the reason most people buy a tablet rather than a smartphone.

The Rs.5000 budget is an entry-level budget for a tablet, and you only can expect entry-level specifications like 1 or 2 GB RAM, 8 GB storage, 7 inches display, and around 3500 mAh battery.

Best Tablets Under Rs.5000

1.Lenovo Tab E8Overall Best Tablet
2.Lenovo Tab M7Runner-Up Tablet
3.iBall Slide Skye 3Tablet With SIM Card Support (3G Only)
4.iBall Slide DazzleValue for Money Tablet
5.I Kall N9Honorable Mention

These tables are recommended to watch movies, surfing the web, social media, emails, and lite games. I don’t recommend these tables for professional or serious work; to this, you should look at best tablets under Rs.10,000.

1. Lenovo Tab E8

Lenovo Tab E8

An entry-level tablet that offers a lot for the price is the Lenovo Tab E8. It is not great in terms of design, but Lenovo has given a daily driver that covers all our basic tasks.

Design & Build Quality – The design of the Tablet is simple without any unique selling points. The build is plastic, so it is not meant for rough usage. It is not the lightest Tablet you can buy, but you can use it with a single hand.

Performance – Coming to the performance, the Tab E8 is powered by the MediaTek MT8163B Quad-Core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The tablets under this price range are not suited for high-end tasks. So you’ll not be able to play top games or multi-tasks easily.

However, for daily usage such as for normal work or to attend classes for students, this Tablet works quite well.

Display – The Lenovo Tab E8 features an 8-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. The display is sharp with vivid colors and good viewing angles under different lighting conditions for the price.

Battery backup – The 4850mAh battery can last upto 10 hours on a single charge. Since there is no fast charge function, it takes around 3-4 hours to charge fully. If you are an average user, this Tablet will last you the entire day.

Camera – The primary camera is a 5MP shooter, whereas the front camera comes with a 2MP shooter. Both the cameras are often underperforming. The pictures lack quality and colors, so the cameras are only suitable for video chats or taking quick photos.

Key Features:

  • 8-inch IPS LCD display
  • MediaTek Quad-core processor
  • 1GB RAM & 16GB storage
  • 5MP & 2MP Cameras
  • 10-hour battery life

The Lenovo Tab E8 is one of the best Tablet under Rs.5,000. It has great value for money features and is loaded with great performance. Considering there is no Samsung Tablet under Rs.5,000, this is your best pick.

  • Camera performance

2. Lenovo Tab M7

Lenovo Tab M7

The Lenovo Tab M7 is another entry-level Android GO tablet. The performance isn’t flawed thanks to the light software, and this allowed Lenovo to bring in a value for money tablet to the Indian market.

Design & Build Quality – Surprisingly, the Lenovo Tab M7 comes with a metal chassis, which makes the build quality quite good. There is a microSD slot for extra storage and a headphone jack for earphones. The design also does not give you the feel that it’s an affordable tablet. It looks premium which is a major plus.

Performance – The Lenovo Tab M7 features a MediaTek MT8321 processor chipset with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The performance is similar to the Lenovo Tab E8, but there is a higher-end version of the Tab M7 that you can purchase.

The 16GB of storage will be very low with apps installed, so it is better you invest in a microSD card for additional storage.

The performance is more optimized because of the Android Go OS. This is on top of Android Pie. Since Android Go uses lower sized applications, you get a smoother experience with the Lenovo Tab M7.

Display – The Tab M7 comes with a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Although it’s a smaller display, the bezels are much thinner, so you get nice viewing angles and an overall satisfactory experience.

Battery backup – The 3500mAh battery may seem small on paper, but the Tablet still manages to give around 10 hours in total. The microUSB port does not come with quick charging, so you’re left with having to wait hours to charge your Tablet fully.

Camera – The Lenovo Tab M7 features 2MP front and 2MP rear cameras that have really poor performance. The pictures are of low quality even with good lighting, and that is one major drawback with this Tablet.

Key Features:

  • 7-inch Tablet
  • MediaTek processor
  • 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage
  • 10-hour battery
  • 2MP rear and 2MP front camera

The Lenovo Tab M7 is a good tablet for low end and simple apps and usage. It has a good battery life and builds, making it a value for money daily driver gadget.

3. iBall Slide Skye 3

iBall Slide Skye 03

iBall is a brand known to offer affordable gadgets, and they have achieved that with the iBall Slide Skye 03. The Tablet feels different while providing some good value.

Design & Build Quality – The iBall Skye 03 has a normal looking design. It has a plastic body, so it doesn’t have a sturdy build. The big bezels are also present on display, which makes it unattractive. So in terms of looks, this isn’t the Tablet that sounds out.

Performance – The Slide Skye 03 is powered by the ARM Cortex A7 Processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. The Tablet comes with Android Oreo which is also outdated.

While the RAM is optimized for performance, the storage is a major issue.

Out of the box, around 5GB of space is taken up by system files. The users are left with only 3GB to use which is quite low even if you are an average user.

Display – The 7-inch display does a decent job, but the bezels make the screen viewing experience a little worse. If you occasionally use the Tablet to watch movies or play games, you won’t have any complaints.

Battery backup – Another area where the Tablet faces a problem is the battery. The 2800mAh battery gives around 5 hours on a single charge, and it takes quite a while to get fully charged again,

Camera – The rear 2MP camera and the front camera are both disappointing when it comes to taking pictures. You can adjust with the cameras for calls, but the picture quality always comes out bad.

Key Features:

  • ARM Cortex A7 Processor
  • 1GB RAM & 8GB Storage
  • 7-inch display
  • 5-hour battery
  • 2MP Camera

The iBall Slide Sky 03 is special because of its design and performance but the low storage and battery life may be a concern to most users.

4. iBall Slide Dazzle

iBall Slide Dazzle

The next Tablet on our list is the iBall Slide Dazzle. A good investment under Rs.5,000 that offers good specifications but not a whole lot of features.

Design & Build Quality – Design-wise, the iBall Dazzle stands out. It has a distinct color shade and build, so it feels different when holding as well. The plastic body isn’t all that good, but for the price, we understand why iBall decided to go with it.

Performance – The Slide Dazzle is powered by the Cortex A7 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Performance isn’t the best here, but the major problem is still with the storage. 8GB of storage will prove to be less within a short period of time.

System storage takes up quite a lot of space, which means you are left with nearly 3 or 4GB of storage.

Display – The 7-inch full capacitive display is also not that good. The color reproduction is not upto the mark, and users felt that the brightness should have been more.

Battery backup – It features a 2800mAh battery, which lasts around 7 hours. No quick charge function is present, so it’ll take some time to charge so that you can use it again.

Camera – The 2MP rear camera and the front camera aren’t good enough. The pictures come out dull and grainy, similar to the iBall slide Skye 03. However, you cannot complain considering the fact that the iBall Dazzle is still a value for money tablet under Rs.5000.

Key Features:

  • 7-inch display
  • Cortex A7 Processor
  • 2800mAh battery
  • 2MP cameras

The iBall Slide Dazzle is a unique experience for users. Although there are some good factors, it is overshadowed by the shortcomings. If you just want a daily usage tablet, this is a good tablet under Rs.5,000.

5. I Kall N9

I Kall N9

I Kall isn’t a reputed brand, and we understand if many of you haven’t heard about it. The brand still managed to offer an entry-level Tablet, but it doesn’t offer a lot. Even then, if you are a beginner and want to test out the Tablet experience, you can opt for the I Kall N9.

Design & Build Quality – The I Kall N9 comes with a plastic body, and the design is quite simple. This is not something for rough usage, and it is prone to fingerprints, so it is better if you use it wisely.

Performance – It features a quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The issue with the storage continues in the I Kall N9, but that is not all.

The Tablet ships with Android 6 Marshmallow which is quite outdated. Coming back to the performance, the Tablet is not quite upto the mark, and the processor too is old and outdated.

Display – The 7-inch LCD display is good but not the best. It has sharp colors and a good brightness level throughout, which makes it one of the plus points for the I Kall N9.

Battery backup – The 2800mAh battery lasts anywhere between 5-7 hours depending on the usage. There is no quick charge function, so the Tablet is slow in getting fully charged.

Camera – The primary camera is a 5MP shooter, and then there is a 2MP front shooter. The cameras are poor, and the performance isn’t really noteworthy, so it is another major letdown.

Key Features:

  • 7-inch LCD display
  • Quad-core processor
  • 1GB RAM & 8GB storage
  • 5-7 hour battery life
  • 5MP & 2MP cameras

The I Kall N9 misses out on some much-needed improvements; hence it is placed last on our list of tablets under Rs.5,000. If you are new to the world of Tablets and want to try them out, this is a worthy investment.
